Artscience

So the semester has started and my first and only lecture thus far was the GEM I'm taking with R, so far the first lecture has left us bewildered because this real estate module sounds like it's built on philosophical/abstract concept, with the lecturer questioning us whether valuation is an art or a science. ._. honestly, there isn't much debate because there is no clear line drawn between art and science in the first place. See, the Singapore ArtScience Museum got that right - art & science comes together:

So on national day we visited the ArtScience Museum before we watched fireworks together! :) Went to two exhibitions, Mummy: Secrets of the Tomb, and Essential Eames! The latter was a free admission due to some national day specials I guess.

Went to the Mummy exhibition first, the reason why we were there! I'd say the first part of the museum experience was the coolest, watching a 3D film about the history of mummy and I was quite hyped up to explore the exhibition after that. It's a pity that my enthusiasm died down a little because the exhibition is actually rather small!

Thankfully the live demo show they had spiced things up a little, and R got asked up to assist in the mummification process (removing the intestines!!! :O of the dummy mummy) and it was pretty fun. I snapped a few pictures but they were mostly unclear and I haven't got them uploaded from my phone, so no photo of the brave volunteer! :p

After that we went up to visit the essential eames exhibition, and photographs were allowed!

Here's us with some disco-like cool lightings

R sitting on one of the cutest chairs around hehe.

Didn't stay on for too long because I was getting a little hungry, woopsie, so we left the museum!

And we find ourselves in the midst of all these crazy crowd waiting for NDP to start, or waiting for the fireworks at night to begin, applaud Singaporeans for their patience sometimes (eg queuing up for hello kitties..)!!! hahaha, off we go for dinner to satisfy my tummy first! xx
