All I want for christmas... is you~

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! I am kinda late but there are 12 days of Christmas right kekeke :p These December has been really busy for both V & I and it almost felt like holiday has yet to start at all manz WE NEED A LONGER HOLIDAY!!

The first reason for the lack of holiday mood is due to the yearly reservist (with the ist) that all singaporean man has to go through. Of the five precious weeks of holidays we have, one of it was used up on serving the nation and reporting to camp everyday. The good thing about the reservist is that I get to move my fat tummy around, do some exercise and gain back some muscle keke. We are also allowed to bring smart phones into camps now so its not that bad since we are able to entertain ourselves when we are bored. Of course this also mean that i got to talk to my doe doe more often keke :D
One bad thing about the yearly reservist is that we need to buy new boots every year as our boots cracks after long duration of being kept in the storage. this also mean:

Blisters!! owwh so painful

Ok me aside, my poor dearie fell sick for a long while this holiday and had to rest at home to recover from her stomach flu. She was so sick that she lost her appetite for food and grew so skinny!! So after my reservist ended, I brought V out for some nice foodie to help her gain back some energy and recover faster!

keke look at how her face light up in front of some awesome seaweed fries! yummy!

During the weeks before Christmas, V and I had a bet to see who is able to collect 25 Christmas trees first! We had initially thought it was not really a difficult task since there are so many shopping malls around singapore and every mall is bound to have at least one Christmas tree! HMMM but we forgot to factor in the fact that we do not have the time to shop around so many malls apparently XD so anywayz i had only managed to capture the following Christmas trees:

keke only 3 :p Me lost the bet in the end and treated us a chocolate lava cake from chocolate origin yum yum~ it was supposed to be a log cake but we were not able to find one small one and had to substitute it with one of our favorite chocolate cake keke

Days before Christmas was soooo busyy for the two of us! SO MUCH SHOPPING TO DO!! We had to look for CNY clothes (mostly me since im the vainer one :O), buy christmas pressies, buy birthday pressie for jl and buy farewell pressie for eunice X.x Such intense shopping. We managed to bought most of the stuff except for christmas pressie for both of us, but anw all we need for christmas is ourselves <3 AWW SO SWEET RIGHT hehe :D

Of course while shopping, we do not forget to satisfy our tummy with plenty of yummy food!

my virgin try of 4fingers and they are finger licking good~

my sweetie who promised to bring me here to try their wings since ice age XD

Our first time at COCO too and the curry is pretty good! We will be back to challenge the spicier levels!!

At canopy on Christmas eve for some brunch and I've ordered the easiest thing to cook on the menu :p dumb dumb! V ordered their eggs royale which was pretty awesome! peekture is with her!!

Christmas day this year was celebrated rather uniquely as V came over my house in the afternoon to support me in my numerical test before we headed out for some food :p We had initially planned to cafe hopped, but by the time the test was done, it was already kinda late to cafe hop. Our cafe hopping date has yet been fulfilled this December!! WE NEED MORE TIME!

We ended up in chomp chomp for our Christmas dinner and spammed lots of our favourite local delights :D

Aww look at how pretty my girl is even at a hot and stuffy environment :D  OMNOM food!

their smallest stingray is actually quite big XD

 CIAO everyone happy holidays!!

:p

Yami

Finally pulled myself out of the sick self *sigh* fell terribly ill this week: sprained toe (?) fever vomit sore throat flu. Thankfully after lots of rest and water and TLC from dearest boyfee I've sort of recovered, with a remaining irritating runny nose. But at least the fever and most discomfort is gone! :)

R came over to visit me yesterday and bought me yami yoghurt peach flavor take home tub :D hehehe, happy happy girl, this tub of ice cream helped me regain my appetite last night.

On a happier note, Christmas is arriving! :)

Decided to have a competition with R, see who can collect 25 photos of different Christmas tree first before 25 Dec! :D

Here's one of our first few christmas tree taken! the amazing photographer aka myself made R look so tall in the photo right ^^ Our 15cm height difference seems like 30cm over here. BOOO!

That day was also the day we found Krispy Kreme Singapore (hahahaha) We promised ourselves not to bother about finding out where the exact location of Krispy Kreme is, we only knew that it was somewhere in town and we all along had this weird misconception that it's somewhere around Taka, but nope! That day we finally went to the basement of Tangs and tadaaa, we found it. But we're not keen on spending so much money on donuts at all, hence no incentive to find out where exactly it is!

Also discovered a Penang street food hall seem-like at the basement and we just got tempted and bought more food even though we just had pontian for lunch at FEP and sweet potato fritters from shihlin as snack :p

Here's what we tried! Something like mee jiam kueh, except it's called ban jiam kueh or something - just a crispy version with lots of peanut over it hahaha!

Also ordered their chendol to try because it looks really yummy and got tempted as we walked past other people who are savoring it! I'm usually not a fan of chendol so I can't really evaluate how good this is but R thinks it's not jelat so it's very good. I actually just like how pretty it looks and the red bean is really nice :)

THEN, after around 1 hour we continued on to find more food and eat. Nam Nam has became one of our favorite restaurants for the weekends and we've been eating it consecutively for idk how long, but it's really addictive!! I especially love their pho and bahn mi, whereas R always is more adventurous in trying out new things - he tried the yellow curry duck dry noodles that day! While I tried the chicken pho for a change from the beefy ones that I always order. Hehehe. Can't explain how much I love Nam Nam after the horrendous experience at a Vietnamese restaurant at the basement of Westgate the other day (utterly disappointing meal yearughh)

Anyway after Nam Nam, we left town and headed to Habitat Cafe! Because I had Churros craving, and Grub wasn't the best option given that it was pouring that evening. So we settled for Habitat! First time trying the churros there and it's really yummy :) Except that it could get a little sick eating a lot of it! But cinnamon and chocolate never goes wrong together!

Then ended off our night sharing our favorite cheese cake from habitat :D teehee ultimate favorite! :) this is really my kind of cheesecake, dense yet fluffy ^^

Olaffing December!

whazupp dawgs FINALS ARE OVER and December is here!! Another of our fave month because we can just nua the whole day off without feeling guilty at all keke. Even though it has just been four days since our last paper, V and I agreed that it felt like ages because the past few days has been jam packed with activities and we have not gotten any chance to nua at all! #workaholiccouple

Brief recap about our examination week! V started her first paper wayy before me as she had 5 finals while I only had 3 :p By the time it was my first paper, many people had already ended theirs and I have obviously gone berserk after studying for 2 weeks :o A midst our examination, we still forked out some time to celebrate our 14th monthsary! Nothing is ever more important than us right? ;D such a sweet couple kekeke

Our monthsary brunch at coffee bean and tea leaf! their breakfast menu is pretty awesome! free flow of coffee and tea before 11am too! Everything tasted awesome for both of us except for the sausage in my breakfast set. Too sour for my liking :p

Little miss naughty with her brunch set! :D After enjoying our sweet little celebration together, the hardworking and A+verage striving couple decided to study for our GEM paper happening on the next day! We had such intense debate over topics in the pyps that we felt so shag after a few hours. Took a break and a change in environment to the bishan nlb to continue our mugging session before heading home! keke learnt that V didnt like to change her studying environment once she starts studying xp

The very next day was our first ever finals together in NUS together! After such an easy paper, we decided to go for a celebratory treat at star vista to congratulate ourselves for working hard (ok maybe not too hard) kekeke. Our first time trying awefully chocolate hazelnut brownie and hei chocolate combo! we were afraid that it might be too chocolatey but thanks to the recommendation by the staff it was a perfect combination of warm cake with ice cream! :D

Fast forwarding to the next week, it was soon our last day of exam!! My last paper was the much dreaded biz anal aka stats and this was how i went into the MPSH:

was tempted to whistle the mocking bird tune in the hall had i not been so preoccupied with solving the questions XD Soon after it was time to PARTIEE!

Our first stop to celebrate our end of exam was Habitat cafe! We had always wanted to try their truffle fries but somehow we never succeeded in ordering because everything on the menu is so tempting!! So we vowed to order it at all cost on that day to try it XD yum yum awesome fries! It was raining real heavily on that day and we had originally planned for grub dinner so we took our time to savour our fries before heading down to grub. So while we were enjoying our food, i cant help to notice another customer sitting across us who looks totally like conan and decided to take a photo of him :p

tadahhh conan doppelganger!

keke they were still serving breakfast while we are there so we ordered V's fave! waffles and scrambled eggs are simply irresistible! when the rain stopped we headed out of habitat and decided to take a walk before our dinner. While on the way, we had this telepathic moment where both of us were craving for some udon from taka XD Since its already holiday and time is on our side, we crossed the road to take a bus down to town!!

hidden gem at taka basement! Once of the nicest udon I've tasted in town keke. And once again we failed to visit grub.. My dear har, say want to bring me to try grub since the beginning of the sem. End of the sem already still haven't brought me there XD

the next day was time for disney movie!!

Disney seemed to have changed the plot for their princess stories in recent years with less evil queens and more animated characters. Olaf is super funny in the movie! It was pretty awkward that V and I were the only ones laughing so hard at Olof 's jokes but luckily the lights were off and no one could judge us :p Enjoyed ourselves watching the disney movie!!

Some coffee before the movie cuz we were too early! Moccaccino from the black bird cafe!

Us enjoying our coffee!

We visited Ikea on Thursday with my mom as she had this crazy idea of doing some mini make over to our house after watching all the bai jia le on channel 8. :p This was the only photo i could find of us in Ikea lolol. walked around the whole place for around 3 hours and my leg almost broke. x.x

More good food from yesterday!! My nose was giving me problems after being blocked for a few days so I begged V to bring me to nakhon for some spicy tom yum soup to help me clear my poor nosey. We had to make a trip to school first for our very first rag meeting which ended pretty early and a tour around FASS to help V settle her SUSEP modules mapping before heading to kovan for our yummy dinner!
