Hello wellos :) it's been a while! Zoom and we are three quarters past the year, does time flies quicker as we age? 365 days didn't feel so little back then when we were younger aye.
NUS just had a school-wide E-learning week in week 5! Feels good to be granted a mini break from school, but actually, not quite - because E-learning week gave us extra (not lesser) workload for most of my modules, but still thankful that we could do learning at our own pace and I guess this is a good way to foster independent and responsible self-learning. However, I didn't find those web chat tutorials any enriching at all.
Didn't like how my day (Friday the 13th) turned out for most part of today, BLACK friday it was. Was extremely bored for the whole day until I met R after dinner to just walk-walk around town! It was pretty late by the time we got to Somerset, R had his pontian for dinner at almost 9pm at cine, and after that we entered a mini mocked-up USS halloween house at their road show, it did horrify me quite a bit, imagine bloody hands all over and seemingly reaching out for you *gasps* After that, we walked our way to Dhoby and had Rocher tauhuey (with tauhuey zhui) awww so so yummy I can get ten bowls of it. But of course, we only had one bowl each, controlling excess food intake! :D dear did an extremely good job today talking me out of buying bubble tea/ice cream etc, well done! Hehe R sent me home as usual, and he just got home not long ago and is showering now, which gives me time to type this post and do some updating of our ruvly blog hehe

So it has been raining for many consecutive days this week, such dreary September rain, which even caused massive flash floods in NUS :O But I do love it when it rains in the night hehe. So on Tuesday this week, R & I intended to go cycle at ECP and have fun outdoors the whole day. Plan didn't seem to work out too well and we knew it from the moment it started to rain in the morning. Met up and had our awesome hotcakes w sausage mcbreakfast at J8 yummers! :) and the rain just got heavier
Decided to take bus to the EASTSIDE anyways and see how it goes, hoping that the rain might be smaller over there and boy we knew we had to change plans when the rain just got heavier and heavier throughout the bus ride. Since we were heading to the East, R suggested going to Katong Teo Heng for some K-session!! HEHEHEH, totally what I had in mind too. Awesome :) Sang from 1-4pm teeheee, our second time singing k together and still so much fun. Took some videos of us singing and it's so hilarious. :p
After all that singing, we went to eat Katong laksa, almost like a must-go-place if we ever go to Katong area! Shared a medium bowl and by then the rain had stopped. So we decided to head to ECP still and carry out our cycling plan! I'm sorry this post is filled with largely words because I haven't got the time to transfer recent iphone photos to my mac, woops. But here's some pictures taken at ECP with my camera!:
We rented a couple bike (first time trying ohmygosh it was pretty challenging and I hated how I'm not in control of the entire cycling process, the person in front controls everything and R sat in front because I'm simply too short to feel comfortable in the front seat) from a bicycle rental shop that I have never patronized in all my previous ECP cycling experience, and boy the service pretty much sucks in this shop. Please boycott (HAHA) and go further down, towards area D for a better bicycle rental shop!
Oh yes so it was actually pretty fun to cycle around with R's back view for me to ogle lolol! It was a windy evening and very relaxing. Except that my butt really hurts after (>.<) and it actually still hurts a bit right now still, damn.
Stopped by this beautiful part of ECP and it all felt really tranquil
We also camwhored quite a bit, but I never manage to get the ~feel~ that I want to achieve: two lovers, one coupley bicycle, lovely beach, tall trees and vast skies- incorporated together to make a romantic shot.
Most of our shots were using timer, and in those pictures taken, half of them has our bike looking like it's going to topple over any time. Crap.
Not sure why my camera decided to have us blurred, but it's quite artistic and I quite like it hahaha!
awkward postures :B
And the last photo we snapped is probably my favourite of the day, yay!
Went to Katong 112 for dinner @ Wee Kee Nam chicken rice stall! Their roasted chicken is pretty awesome hehe but sinful chicken rice. Followed by two bowls of honeymoon dessert to end the night. :3 blissful and happy day spent together! But it was also the day where we (actually, I) decided that we should cut down on our unhealthy and excess food intake. I'm sure we can do this!
EAT HEALTHY.
BE HEALTHY.
