Babblings

Hello ruvlies this blog post consists of random insertion of photos taken over the past few weeks, mostly of food and our silliest faces hahaha because I am feeling bored + hungry right now, looking at some of these food pictures make me drool.

Habitat Coffee, one of the most affordable cafes around, with their cheesecake priced at $3.80?? Whatchu waiting for?!? can't wait to get back there for more of their cakes and coffee.

Bad lighting!! But a relaxing Wednesday afternoon spent with R :')

'Fooling around in the library in week 1 of school. Hahaha

R, the man who has grown a huger appetite since the start of this semester, eating his 5th out of 7 meal of the day :O But no matter how much he eats, this boy is still so skinny. How many girls are jealous out there *raises hand* :x

Neli's ice cream late night date :) hehe, tea flavoured ice cream are the best. actually tea infused with anything is awesome, suitable for both sweet or savory dishes :D

;p mini eyes ._. and big-small eyes o.O

Okay, officially hungry!!!

Fishy that caused a big hooha in our relationship. HAHAHA boy, i'm sure R regretted going all the way to CWP just to get this for me :p hehe oopsie doopsie. nonetheless, I enjoyed gobbling these fishies down my throat (chocolate + red bean flavours)

Attended Singapore Night Festival together on friday night!!

Happy week 3! ^^

yr 3 week 2

hey hey! Week two came and passed real quickly even though tutorials has not started mainly because two of my free days were burnt on cracking a case for the preliminary round of the competition. Apart from these two days, I'm glad that to able to meet V on almost every day ^^

We had our first ever lunch date in the terrace on Monday before our GEM class, guess what we ate!! Hwang's korean food!! Ok no price for guessing right since it is probably the most edible food with shortest queue there :p Kimchi fried rice for me and Bimbimbap for V omnom so hungry thinking of them noww! After lunch, we went over to the central forum and sat there and people watch for awhile before dragging our feet to lecture. Pretty much stoned through the lecture as it was kinda boring and soon it was over! V was excited about eating the fish pancake from Causeway point as she came across them on tv last week and suggested that we visit them. We were also craving for some MOS burger and couldn't really make up our minds, when bus 95 came we boarded and the final decision was to go Star vista :p Libras are really indecisive sometimes heh.. But we still enjoyed our short trip at star vista nevertheless! Shared some OCK sticks, an awesome seafood bread bowl and had fun shopping around the different shops there :)

Creamy yummy bread bowl! So much seafood in the bowl that it was a little too chunky for V :p

V had her handball training the following evening and since we have yet to al ameen for ages, we decided to visit the place for supper!! We were not sure if it was the right shop when we reached the stretch of shop houses as the shop name have changed to al amaan :o hahaha but the menu is still the same so we ordered anyway!

hehehe look how hungry we both were! Didn't even remember to take photos of our food first hehee. Butter chicken was spicier than last time's but everything else was still as good! :)

Fast forward to friday since most of Wed and thurs was spent on my case competition... TGIF!! Was in a zombie state when I reached school on Friday as I didn't get much sleep for the past two days. Met V and her friends at the deck for lunch and went to the library to take a quick nap zzzz. Soon our classes ended at 6pm and it was time to partyyy!!! We had initially planned to catch the supernova concert at Utown but V had a better suggestion: Singapore Night Festival 2013!! Woah the event is really quite cool and not to be missed! Wish Singapore has more of this kind of events with vibrant night-life culture!

Prior to visiting the festival, we have to eat our dinz dinz of course:

The queue was super long by the time we were there but we knew we had to try their french toasts. yumzz! We were both starving by the time we had our table as we had plenty of time staring at the people eating their food from the queue Xp such a torture!! But at least we managed to engross ourselves in some deep conversation about soci and be distracted from the food hahhaa

prettiest girl in the world! <3

Must tryyy

Fuwa fuwa that tastes so fluffy!!! Don't be deceive by the look, it is really filling with baked rice hiding below the foam :p

SG Night Festival!!

It was my first time visiting the Peranakan museum and its free during the festival! There is this art exhibit that requires us to say out the name of the artist to redeem some porcelain ware and throw in down from the top floor of the museum. We are supposed to channel our negative thoughts into the porcelain and throw it down, signifying the act of forgetting them. Quite fun having to participate in the exhibit but I can't remember the artist name anymore oops. We had some fun visiting the rest of the exhibits in the museums and playing with the stamping machines hehee. so pretty!!!

Yesterday was spent visiting town as we had to do window shopping for our GEM assignment lolol. Excuse for us to paktor yayy!! Went FEP as V wanted to find out the retail price for OPI nail polish for the assignment. Spammed food once again!! hehhee FEP has so much good food that we didn't manage to try them all out! Need to visit them again!! Walked around town searching for my product but decided to use ritter sport in the end lolol. We wandered to taka and found out that there is the fair selling mooncakes! YAY FREE TASTING hahahah typical singaporean XP tried so many mooncake that we satisfied our mooncake craving hahaha.

That's all for this week! More to come soon ^^

Artscience

So the semester has started and my first and only lecture thus far was the GEM I'm taking with R, so far the first lecture has left us bewildered because this real estate module sounds like it's built on philosophical/abstract concept, with the lecturer questioning us whether valuation is an art or a science. ._. honestly, there isn't much debate because there is no clear line drawn between art and science in the first place. See, the Singapore ArtScience Museum got that right - art & science comes together:

So on national day we visited the ArtScience Museum before we watched fireworks together! :) Went to two exhibitions, Mummy: Secrets of the Tomb, and Essential Eames! The latter was a free admission due to some national day specials I guess.

Went to the Mummy exhibition first, the reason why we were there! I'd say the first part of the museum experience was the coolest, watching a 3D film about the history of mummy and I was quite hyped up to explore the exhibition after that. It's a pity that my enthusiasm died down a little because the exhibition is actually rather small!

Thankfully the live demo show they had spiced things up a little, and R got asked up to assist in the mummification process (removing the intestines!!! :O of the dummy mummy) and it was pretty fun. I snapped a few pictures but they were mostly unclear and I haven't got them uploaded from my phone, so no photo of the brave volunteer! :p

After that we went up to visit the essential eames exhibition, and photographs were allowed!

Here's us with some disco-like cool lightings

R sitting on one of the cutest chairs around hehe.

Didn't stay on for too long because I was getting a little hungry, woopsie, so we left the museum!

And we find ourselves in the midst of all these crazy crowd waiting for NDP to start, or waiting for the fireworks at night to begin, applaud Singaporeans for their patience sometimes (eg queuing up for hello kitties..)!!! hahaha, off we go for dinner to satisfy my tummy first! xx

back to school

Today marks the first day of our year 3 journey in NUS!! Had my first lecture for the sem in biz school at 10am in the morning, almost didn't wanna get out of my bed in the morning X.X Lucky for me I had a personal alarm clock, V, who was shocked awake at 8 in the morning when she checked her phone and did not see my text msg to wish her good morning teehee. Purposely wanted to scare her only aahhh so playful heh.
The lecturers for the morning mod seems a overly anal towards the students hmm we shall see how things turns out, not too excited :p After the class it was time to meet my Red Velvet!! We had initially planned to visit the new gym in Utown for some working out but V was afraid that we might be late for class and thus we thought of postponing the gym session till after our GEM lecture. So we headed to the new food court at Utown SRC for lunch and it was suckyy, V's caifan was so salty eeks. We turned out to be way early for class instead lolol and since the first day of our school seemed unusually hot, we decided to drink some fruit juice from the deck!! Went for our first lecture together at SDE soon after hehe :D
After class, V had to turn up for her handball trials for ifg! Ahhh plan for gymming faileddd sobss. Determined not to waste my efforts of bringing my sports shoes and sports attire to school today, I decided to go gym myself lolol. Waited for V to end her trial and we headed to j8 for some LJS!! Salsa cheese FTW!! teehee such an awesome first day in school :D

rag to riches

WHADUPP!! I'm on fireee two posts in a day wheee! So after the arduous wait for my dearest to be back home, we met on the very next day for some catching up :DD Found out that I have been always on her mind while she was away as she bought so many things for me!! awww <3 She knew I was looking for a new bag for the sem and looked high and low for one that suits me hehe. YAY new bags and shirts for the sem!! :)

Check out my new friend merkee! hehe he's a super squishy sea lion the size of my palm :D

On Wednesday we met in the morning for breakfast and headed down to school to support the annual NUSSU Rag event! Reached Utown around noon and realised that we were still rather early as we were mostly just interested to watch the arts and biz performance lolol. faculty pride :p

Pontian for breakfast! yums didn't know what was going through my mind to have ordered the chilli and black sauce one ahhh *assburn* #TMI

Sitting at town green watching all the performance and cam whoring when we got bored :D

Arts Rag! They had the prettiest float and the loudest crowd support, pity they didn't get gold for their performance :( Look at the row of naked people at the fake infinity pool watching the performance hahaha!

We left school shortly after all the performance ended and headed to Holland Village for lunch at EWF!

Initially planned to bring V to holland v as I had promised to buy her PV's cupcakes butttt plan failed as they were closed for the week to do some stock taking :/ At least we had an awesome lunch! And we were honestly too full to have more cakes for dessert after the nutella tart lolol

After which, we headed down to bugis to do some shopping! V had many things that she needed to buy before her school started too so we headed down to the one place where Singaporean girls can always find what they wanted. We did some intense shopping and soon it was time for dinner!! Suggested to bring V to Saveur since we were near Purvis street and made her jaywalk across the road as there were no traffic lights in sight. It was a bad experience as 1. the road was heavily used during peak hour 2. V hates to jaywalk 3. we got death stared by a motorbike uncle that stopped the bike in front of us just to stare at us :o (in our defense we thought he was going to turn as he had his signal light on :( so confusing) Anyway I need to be more considerate and less lazy next time to find traffic lights sorry dear :p

award winning photography yet again hehehe awesome and affordable food from Saveur!!

Headed towards shaw house after dinner for ice cream at tom's palette!! We were playing with our ice cream as we ordered melt and sizzle berry which has the candy powder that sizzle in your mouth when it melts so fun!!

Headed towards the river for an evening stroll and we were surprised by country songs outside esplanade! Such a romantic night out heh :D

tried cam whoring in the dark before heading home :p

one of our rare >12 hours a day date and time still flew past so quickly aww. Both quality and quantity time spent together :DD

Pre-departure to land of thousand smiles :):):):):):):)

Happy 48th birthday Singapore!!! Woohoo super long weekends for everyone here in the little red dot this year with Hari Raya and National Day falling on thurs and fri :D Not like it really affects the two of us since we are still on holidays hehe :p

Last week was a rather short week for us as V went on a family hols to bkk from thurs to sun sobss.. So on Monday our random cravings for cup corn and mwuah chee brought us to the one place in Singapore where I least expect to find good food: Queensway Shopping Centre. I've always thought that people visit this place only when they need to design and print shirts or buy sports shoes haha. Ordered our usual cup corn and mwuah chee once we arrived at the shopping centre and noticed that they sell the ah tan tutu kueh too :ooo ITS THE TUTU KUEH I'VE BEEN FINDING! We decided not to order them straight away as our hands were full so we munched on our cup corn and mwuahh chee first while our mind were fixated on the tutu kueh lolol. Shopped around for awhile first to allow our stomachs to digest the food first before our second round. Found out that Queensway actually have quite a few shops selling guys clothings and managed to buy 2 shirts yay! We went back to the tutu stall soon after to find a queue of people ordering the ohsofamous tutu which got us uber excited!! we ordered 2 peanuts and 3 coconut fillings on our turn but the overwhelming orders confused the auntie who made us 3 peanuts and 2 coconuts instead :p The tutu were so yummy that we felt unsatisfied with only 2 coconuts!! Sooo we went back and ordered another round of 5 coconuts again lolol. The auntie recognized us and secretly gave us more coconut fillings to satisfy our tummy hehe :D

The following day was rather chill as V came over to my house! We spent the whole day trying to finish watching the last few episodes of zzsf as V was going to miss them while she was overseas. team fantongling ftw!

Some technical errors occurred while we tried to connect the mio tv and watch it on mobtv which took us some time before resolving it. Other than that it was a nice day to sit at home with my love and catch some show together!

We managed to squeeze some time out to meet the next day before V flies off to bkk. I was in an awkard attire as i wanted to practice sbj below V's house after walking around amk hub lol. Oh well's I'm sure I can pull off any weird combination on me ;D #megaselfconfidence It was a short week for us but I was gald to be able to see my gf on all the days in the week when she was still in Singapore. Missed V so much while she was overseas as we could only talk when she had wifi which meant in the morning and at night when she was in the hotel :/ At least we managed to talk still :D Realized I am so accustomed to talking to her the whole day that my days felt weird and incomplete during days she was in bkk. Hugs and kisses! <3

Thorns tear rosy relationships

Life isn't a bed of roses, even if it is, there are bound to be thorns on the roses. Same goes for relationship and love. While this site mainly seeks to document all the happy moments that R and I spent together, it cannot be forgotten that we do have our fair share of unhappy episodes. However, I think I can say that we are one of the least quarrelsome couple - mainly because it takes two hands to clap, and similarly it takes two PMS-y persons to start a quarrel - my dearest boyfriend has such composed character he has NEVER once been upset with me at all. Sometimes I wonder how he does that. On the other hand, I do have a bizzare temperament that I am well-aware of, and I have expectations that he would know what I want/what I'm thinking without me saying it explicitly (HAHA I know, tough luck on my boyfriend who has to master mind-reading skills) Of course on most times he knows exactly what's on my mind, and I believe we do have a pretty high level of telepathy (like e.g., we may even have the same food cravings jumping across our minds at the same time and that makes me happy because we can eat them together lolol). But on some days, his superpower mind-reading skill just fails on him and he can't grasp what's on his girlfriend's mind = #blackfacegirlfriend #badluckday. Anyway, this whole blog post came about because of the incident that happened yesterday (our nation's 48th birthday, Happy birthday Singapore!), it was one of those days my moods overtook my mind and I became irrationally unhappy because I was grumpy that R didn't want to do silly things for me (I wanted him to approach a family of strangers and ask them if they were heading for the national day parade, for no reason at all LOL okay I sound ridiculously unreasonable and mildly psychotic but I love doing silly/crazy/random things, and R was too shy to approach them le sigh so I was grumpyX2), and then because of my already-bad-mood R thought I didn't want to squeeze with the waves of crowd waiting for the fireworks to start and proposed to head home, so I became unhappier because I found it so lame to be heading home when we are already at the marina bay area *deep frowns* So all that unhappiness were majorly self-created and from my refusal to say what I want, what I am thinking of, instead of making R wasting millions of brain cells figuring out what his girlfriend actually wants (sorry dearrrr). This feels like self-reflection, I shall aim to convey my thoughts more verbally with my boyfriend rather than simply through telepathic waves. ^^

But anyhowwws, after we decided to have dinner at marina square I was a lot happier wheee hehe. :D we intended to watch fireworks through the gallerie food court of MS but there were also a lot of people crowding near the glass panels. In the end we joined R's family at Pan Pacific hotel, and watched the fireworks from the 22nd storey,

:p

it's like happily ever after in the end
*cues fireworks* *pewww pew pewww*

28/07/13

sawadee kap! Time flew way too fast and it's already August! School is starting next week ahhhh. This summer has been rather chill for me as I ended my SEP early with plenty of time to spare and readjust myself back to the Singapore environment. So glad that I had this holiday to spend together with V and catch up on the time we have been apart last semester :D LDR hasn't been easy but it was a good experience and we managed to pull through it ^^

Following the order of the previous post, the next date we had together was on our tenth monthsary! HAPPY MONTHSARY DEAR! LOVE YOU SO MUCH <3

So on this special day, we met up in the late morning (actually afternoon :p) for brunch at the one place my dear has been wanting to try out:

Pretty flower for the beautiful girl :D V said it was the cutest bouquet I've gotten her but I thought there were nicer ones from before :p She wasn't expecting the flowers as I met her straight after my tuition class heh but the resourceful boyfriend knows where to get flowers for his gf XP

Eagerly waiting for my food soo hungry. It was a good thing that I made a reservation for a table before heading there as all the tables were filled by the time we reached! Such good business *clap clap*

Award winning food photography hehe :p

Left the place with our tummy bursting yet again and decided to walk to town from five and dime despite the hot sun x.x Window shopped around as we felt the need to burn off some calories from the brunch!

Towards the evening as the sun began to sat, we decided to take a walk from ion to the botanical garden and reminisce about our date zero hehe

Walked from one end of the garden to the other end. Sat down at several locations as the garden is seriously HUGE no kidding. My thighs were also aching from the sbj practices I had been doing to prep myself for IPPT lolol. Played 'I never' with V which was a game I never played with her before hahaha. ok lame. The sky soon turned dark and we got bitten by sand flies as we sat down on one of the benches D: Went home soon after! Always happy to spend a whole day together with my dearest <3
