Guess who's back!

Hello!!! Sorry for neglecting this place for such a long time, this is my first post since I have started my internship in Jan! In case anyone else besides my sweetest girl is wondering how I have been doing, I've got to say that NOTHING BEATS BEING A STUDENT! So to those in my cohort who can't wait to graduate, please think twice and enjoy your last year as a student while you still can :D Having said that, this internship has indeed been an eye opening experience for me to what could possibly my future career path and I am glad to have taken the LOA to understand the industry better.

Some of the reasons why I think we should enjoy being a student:

  1. Not having to wake up before the sun is up every morning x.x In my opinion, alarm clock is one of the most wicked invention in the world as no one should be woken up from sleep by anything except themselves. The moment you graduate and start working, you have to wake up early in the morning everyday as you cannot afford to skip work like how you get to do so as a student when you just feel like lazing at home for the day.
  2. Simply because being students entitle you to lots of privileges! Bus concession, student meals, weekday movie tickets etc etc It can save you quite a lot of money if you are a student as compared to a working adult.
  3. Abundance of time. As a student we get to decide how we want to allocate our time doing all the things we got to do for the week including some time to waste. Once you start work, the amount of time you have left is so precious that you can't afford to waste them :x
Hehe of course working have many plus points and being student can be frustrating at times, but these three reasons is enough to make me wanna go back to studying! :D

In my temporal transition from a student to a working adult, I am glad to have my dearest girlfriend to be there supporting me during this period of time! On days when V ends her school early, she will make her trip down from school to the CBD area to have lunch with me as she knows I eat myself most of the time. This has probably cost a bomb to her transportation expenses so much so that she realised its probably more worth it to get a student concession for the train :b Nonetheless, being able to meet up my dear for the 2 hours of lunch gives me the motivation to work hard for the rest of the day ^^

Also, being a sweet girl like how she always is, V likes to bring me random surprises to brighten up my day.

For example, one day while she met me for dinner after my work, she bought me a slice of cake to celebrate the end of work! hehehe nothing beats having a slice of cake on a day that is not your birthday :D

Also recently, I have developed lots of pimple on my face probably due to the dry weather. V decided to bring her bottle of volcanic mask to my house and help me out with my terrible skin!

I have also put on a considerable amount of weight from excessive eating during CNY and lack of exercising. So recently we have decided to add in running as one of our weekly activity so that we won't feel guilty from all the food indulgence. Spot us at bishan park on the weekends and if you are lucky you might just find us!

V'day 2014

Finally, I've got around to post about Valentine's Day! It's actually our first V'day spent together (physically) hehe and so it was pretty exciting. On the night of the day before V'day, I was throwing tantrums because we haven't got a concrete plan of what to do on the day itself, there was only dinner plans made and for the rest of the day, we didn't plan anything. That was partly because I told R I just wanted to nua and chill the day away (since it happened to be my free day off school, and R took a leave for that day - feels good to just waste time together). But I didn't want to nua for the entire day, still wanted to at least do something!! #contradictorygirlfriend #hardtoplease

In the end we compromised and chilled for the first half of the day, with R coming over to have breakfast with me at Bishan Park Macdonalds:

Hotcakes FTW :) Favourite breakfast, yum yum delicious. After breakfast, we headed back home and wasted some time just slacking, or helping my sister with her quizzes and all hahaha. Only left house at around 1plus/2pm :D

Guess where are we headed!

The coldest place in Singapore as of now.... (by the way, the weather has been terrible lately with barely any raindrops falling from the skies for the past month, I sincerely hope that rain will come soon *rain dances*)

The 2 Degree Ice Art Exhibition!

Because there isn't anymore students' promotion,  it was actually quite expensive to enter the exhibition. Thanks for bringing me there dear :') heehe

Woah, it was seriously cold in there! Minus 15 degrees is no joke, the coldest temperature I've ever experienced!!

Check out my half retarded expression, hahah it was sorely cold seriously. Thankfully actually, the exhibition is pretty small. We spent about 1 hour in there and completed the exhibition already. After that, we went to the ice bar for our complimentary drink (part of the V'day package) and just wasted time before re-entering the exhibition for the snowfall at a designated time!

Happy V'day! :) Hehehe, we had loads of fun playing with the slides (especially after the snowfall timing, because the slides were much more slippery and slidable woah, fun!!) Played at least 7 times in total. :D

Mannekin Pis hahaha *censored*

Dinosaurs!

R with Big Ben, his affinity with London the Big City ~ :)

Left the exhibition at around 5pm, and was ready to walk from MBS towards Suntec, off we go! ^^

Singapore's skyscrapers are pretty gorgeous:
R admiring the skyline, "where will my future lie?"
Haha!!

Fooled around, snapped some photos, and finally reach Suntec :D Perfect dinner time! Dinner at Tony Roma's because I had wanted to go there since forever, but never got the chance to. So my wonderful boyf decided to bring me there for dinner!! AND BOY DID WE OVEREAT hahahaha. 2 full meals for both of us, with 2 full racks of ribs. I applaud us

Mushroom soup that came first, blew us awayyyy. So so good :')

And a generous portion of salad was served!! Super fresh and crunchy, love it tooooo

And this loaf of bread for an appetizer, tasted so good. Crispy outside and fluffy soft bread inside :'D

And here's my baby back ribs, the portion is HUGE ASS. I think it was V'day, hence they had a special menu which doesn't have the half ribs. In the end both of us ordered one full ribs each, extreme food overdose but every calorie was worth it :) Plus I also loved my sides!! Corn + French fries. R, on the other hand, wasn't too lucky with his choice of sides HEHE his coleslaw tasted unconventional, and his baked potato was too good but too filling - hence he barely touched it. HAHAAHA i laugh. He couldn't finish his sides because he was too into my sides!! Yummy.

My date and his main! The picture is so blur, I'm sorry. He ordered the older ribs HAHA with carolina honey sauce or something, which I felt was slightly too sweet. But he likes it very much :)

HI, this is what we ended up with at the end of the day. A full plate filled with meatless ribs, #achievementunlocked

With our bloated stomachs, we walked around Suntec for a bit, and saw that there was a free photo taking service available in lieu of Valentines' day, so sweet! :) Of course we also took the chance to get a free photo for ourselves, yay!

So we ended up with 2 V'day customized photos for this year, one from the Ice Art exhibition, and one from Suntec :D

& Here's the lovely bouquet of roses that R specially folded for me :D Told him not to get me flowers because bouquets are severely overpriced this season, and totally not worth it to buy one! The intelligent boy decided to make me one instead, teehee thanks for being so sweet ^^ Please continue to improve your flower folding skills and make me one that is less fragile leh (HAHAHA)

All in all, I had a really fun-filled Valentine's day spent with my dearest R! :D
