Yami

Finally pulled myself out of the sick self *sigh* fell terribly ill this week: sprained toe (?) fever vomit sore throat flu. Thankfully after lots of rest and water and TLC from dearest boyfee I've sort of recovered, with a remaining irritating runny nose. But at least the fever and most discomfort is gone! :)

R came over to visit me yesterday and bought me yami yoghurt peach flavor take home tub :D hehehe, happy happy girl, this tub of ice cream helped me regain my appetite last night.

On a happier note, Christmas is arriving! :)

Decided to have a competition with R, see who can collect 25 photos of different Christmas tree first before 25 Dec! :D

Here's one of our first few christmas tree taken! the amazing photographer aka myself made R look so tall in the photo right ^^ Our 15cm height difference seems like 30cm over here. BOOO!

That day was also the day we found Krispy Kreme Singapore (hahahaha) We promised ourselves not to bother about finding out where the exact location of Krispy Kreme is, we only knew that it was somewhere in town and we all along had this weird misconception that it's somewhere around Taka, but nope! That day we finally went to the basement of Tangs and tadaaa, we found it. But we're not keen on spending so much money on donuts at all, hence no incentive to find out where exactly it is!

Also discovered a Penang street food hall seem-like at the basement and we just got tempted and bought more food even though we just had pontian for lunch at FEP and sweet potato fritters from shihlin as snack :p

Here's what we tried! Something like mee jiam kueh, except it's called ban jiam kueh or something - just a crispy version with lots of peanut over it hahaha!

Also ordered their chendol to try because it looks really yummy and got tempted as we walked past other people who are savoring it! I'm usually not a fan of chendol so I can't really evaluate how good this is but R thinks it's not jelat so it's very good. I actually just like how pretty it looks and the red bean is really nice :)

THEN, after around 1 hour we continued on to find more food and eat. Nam Nam has became one of our favorite restaurants for the weekends and we've been eating it consecutively for idk how long, but it's really addictive!! I especially love their pho and bahn mi, whereas R always is more adventurous in trying out new things - he tried the yellow curry duck dry noodles that day! While I tried the chicken pho for a change from the beefy ones that I always order. Hehehe. Can't explain how much I love Nam Nam after the horrendous experience at a Vietnamese restaurant at the basement of Westgate the other day (utterly disappointing meal yearughh)

Anyway after Nam Nam, we left town and headed to Habitat Cafe! Because I had Churros craving, and Grub wasn't the best option given that it was pouring that evening. So we settled for Habitat! First time trying the churros there and it's really yummy :) Except that it could get a little sick eating a lot of it! But cinnamon and chocolate never goes wrong together!

Then ended off our night sharing our favorite cheese cake from habitat :D teehee ultimate favorite! :) this is really my kind of cheesecake, dense yet fluffy ^^
