A scoop of Jem

Ohaiyo! The starting post for this blog we own has got to be one of the dates we have in Sunny Singapore :)

To start off, I'd like to wish dearest R: Happy Ninth Monthsary! :b

Met R at late morning today and the boy has prepared a bouquet of gerbera daisies for me, my favourite kind of flowers! :) Especially loved the dark purplish pink one teehee. Hm, date tip #1: Never forget to do sweet things/say sweet words to your lover to reassure each other that he/she is always well-loved by you!

Then we made our way to Singapore's newly opened shopping mall in Jurong East, named JEM - which R told me it meant 'Journey to the East Mall'. Okay kidding, he decided that 'Jurong East Mall' was more likely the accurate name. So yes, Singapore is not all that dull with malls and buildings popping out or being torn down ceaselessly, in matters of years (or months even) - so there's always new things and places to do and visit! Walked around the mall in a systematic manner, we cleared it level by level! Not long after, we were drawn into Din Tai Fung because of the crowd and queue outside the restaurant (so Singaporean, got queue means good!) and by then our stomachs were calling out for food, so lunch it shall be!

Bright smile teehee can't wait for our food!

DTF XLBs :D we really enjoyed these! What I super love to do, is to spam vinegar on my xiao long baos!!!

Next, our egg fried rice arrived YUM TUM, simply cooked but so good. We had ordered these two dishes the previous time we visited DTF as well, they are awesome!

We also ordered steamed yam buns - first time trying them and we both love how perfect those yam buns tasted ^^ Not too sweet and not overly thick, definitely ordering again on our next visit!! :D

Outdoor shots before we left jem!

And then we made our way to Holland Village - The Daily Scoop for some sweet treats! Date tip #2: Start off the date sweet, and end off the date even sweeter! :B

While waiting for our ice cream waffles to be ready!

Tadahhhh :D Lychee martini and Earl grey ice cream topped on freshly baked waffles, drizzled with chocolate sauce! I really love tea-based ice cream, :)

And then, time to head home and plan for our next date! hehe :)

This is an extremely hurried post before I rush off for dinner with my family, adieu!
